Imagine being ripped from your home, seperated from any sibling you might have, and throw into a foreign living environment all because of circumstances beyond your control. It is not fair and can be very scary. This is what happens to teenagers when they have to be pulled from their families due to being mistreated by the people who should love them. There have to be drastic circumstances for a child to be pulled from there home. They deserve a safe and secure living environment to go to as they sort through the drama they just endured. They deserve to be able to stay together with their sibilings.
At Rusty Halo Foundation we are trying to do just that. Focusing on teens ages 13-18, the foundation raises funds to help support these teens with education, travel, healthy relationship training, and more . The main endevoure the foundation is funding is Rusty Halo Ranch. This will be a sustainable ranch with theraputic horses, a farm house based on community living, animals to care for, a machine shop, art, music, sports, gardening and more. The ranch will provide a safe and secure base for the teens to live, keeping siblings together, and providing opportunities for them to explore and find purpose and stability in life.
It is not their fault their lives have been uprooted and thrown into chaos. No one is perfect under any circumstance and these teens need someone to reach out and believe in them. They need a place where they are not judged. They need stability that does not just go away. At Rusty Halo we are reaching out to those teens at that last critical point in their life to give them a chance.
Rusty Halo Foundation and Ranch address the signification need to also maintain stability for the teens after they age out of the system. The ranch will provide jobs to those who have graduated high school and need to work as well as assist with college applications and provide life skills to the teens as they develop into young adults. The system fails them after 18. Rusty Halo will not.
Not everyone is called to work directly with teens, but anyone can help. We need funding. We are working to purchase land in the Martinez Alhambra Valley area. Please donate what you can. We are a 501(C)3 and will have all our paperwork in order so we can send you all your tax write off information. Thank you for helping give teens a chance.
