hello good morning/afternoon/evening kisses for your brains x im rusty, a gender queer orange silly river rat who lives on an orange lifeboat (poetic and metaphoric and just a fact) I use they/them pronouns and I am scraping together some pennies for exiling boob-byes x

as a few of you may know, in 2022 I had a consultation at LTC for Top Surgery, following being diagnosed as having gender dysphoria and starting testosterone earlier that year.

just a few months later I bought my floating bean home and only two weeks into owning my floating home, I was broken into. suddenly I realised I was dealing with a really unhealthy work situation and suddenly needed money for repairs and replacements, and with so much newness and uncertainty (and a Bit Of Panic) I took myself off the list for surgery.

it was the choice between making my boat a home or making my body a home.

theres so much me and my boat have been through together in just a year and im so grateful for the healing and (un)learning and silliness and adventures we’ve done together! my floaty boaty home still needs so much love, but its comfortable for now, and so its time to start raising funds and finding a new surgeon to make my skin flesh home comfortable, too!!!

I’m sure you’re aware how long and expensive the wait times are so I’m currently looking at other options instead of the NHS.

i have set the target at £5000 as A LAFF really. An arbitrary number I’ll update once I know where and when and how much it costs and more about recovery time and the money I might need to support myself through that time.

The funds raised here will be used to:

* cover the full cost of surgery

* buy recovery-related medical supplies

* pay for meals during recovery

* cover gofundme fees

I am unable to afford this on my own as not only am I studying furniture making part-time, but also as I have had a difficult time with work, following an intense burnout last year and having post-viral fatigue for many many months following having covid.

I will be looking to arrange stash swap fundraisers, sell silly crafting goods I have made and will be accepting donations here too! i understand money can be tight at the moment so anything you can donate, will be lovingly appreciated!!!
