RUSTY BEAR - please help me on my journey to a comfy sofa :)

Donation protected
Hi, I’m Rusty Bear - so well thought of already that I’ve got 2 names, I had 3 from 3 different people but I dropped the 3rd one, ‘chocolate’ ! I’ll stick with Rusty Bear for now ;)

I was found at the bins in Corfu last week, the vet thinks I’m about a 3/3.5 year old boy - ive got a bit of a neck sore from a collar so I guess I was tied up and cut loose when my previous owners had enough of me :(

Emma found me and has been letting stay in her garden. Feeding me, Giving me fuss and treats and a bed to sleep in but I can’t stay in the house because she already has a house full of animals. I’ve shown how grateful I am by sticking around the place, following her everywhere she goes and even goofing around with some toys to make her happy. Shes really sad she can’t keep me but was hoping a shelter would take me, like the dogs she has found before… but they are all full and I’m a bit stuck.

What I do know is that I might be a bit rough around the edges with my manners but I’m a super quick learner, I’m friendly and polite and super loyal even after just 5 days!! even the vet said there was no need to muzzle me as I’m so friendly! So I reckon a few times of being shown the ropes and I’ll pick it up super quick!

The vet has taken my bloods and I’m waiting to see what the results are, as they will determine any treatment needed and when I might be able to travel.

But here’s the deal. I need a home.

First part of the plan is travel to the UK. There’s no space for me here in Corfu and I’m on limited time as I can’t live loose in Emma’s garden forever. To do that I need some vet treatment and some travelling money. When I arrive I need either a foster home or a permanent home but that will come in good time I feel sure, even it means staying temporarily with family or in kennels before I move on.

So here’s the fag packet figures;

€320 to travel from Greece to Calais (quoted figure)
€120 bloods (estimated figure from vets)
€TBC Microchip
€TBC Rabies Jabs
€TBC Neutering
€TBCPassport
€TBC Onward travel Calais to UK
€TBC Food
(all the above to be booked in after blood results confirmed as they determine next steps and timescales)

We’re thinking if we could even raise just £500 this would be such an incredible help!! I suspect the total will be a fair bit more but we don’t want to ask for too much!!

Anything you can do to help a young Greek four legged cheeky chapped out would be most appreciated

Ok so I know it’s super cheesy, but telling you about us isnt why you want to give money. But for some context I’m Hannah. Myself and my sister-in-law, Emma, have a passion for animals and particularly those in need of some extra help.
Emma found ‘Rusty Bear’ as he is now known last week feeding himself at the bins in Corfu.

sadly it’s not an unusual sight for her and she does all she can to help every cat and dog she finds, feeding them and being part of a neutering programme on the island. Usually there is a willing shelter to take the dogs and help get them healthy and try their best to find them a home but they are full, bursting at the seams and were really struggling to give this amazing boy a chance. My brother tolerates his wife’s animal rescues at best but he has even fallen in love with RUSTY BEAR. If they could keep him they would, but for various reasons they just can’t.

Any help you can give would be amazing - all we need is 500 people to give a quid each thank you!
