Rust Family Road to Recovery

Not long ago a really good friend of ours, Will Rust, seriously injured his back.  This incident was completely unexpected and took everyone by surprise.  It turned out that a simple twisting maneuver that rendered him immobile had actually been a ticking time bomb.  The pains and soreness and temporary "kinks" in his back were all subtle indicators of a much bigger issue.  His back eventually gave out and could no longer support him.  This is the guy who never stopped moving, who always did the heavy lifting, the brake jobs, the house repairs, the yard work,  hooking up trailers, loading and unloading and suddenly he could't walk, he lost feeling in his lower extremities and even hugging his daughters became a test of strength and pain endurance.  This is my friend who spent hours and hours 2 years ago to help lay pavers for mine and my husband's wedding venue at our farm.  He has helped us with so much more since that time. He has been there to help our family every single day that I have known him and now its our time to help him and his family.

After surgery and a long stint in a rehab facility he is finally home and his recovery continues.  He has a long road ahead of him but he is full of light and energy despite the figurative mountains he has yet to climb.  Although they have health insurance the out of pocket expenses are a hardship given his inability to return to work at this time.  He continues to heal and we are confident that this is just a temporary set back for him.  Any donation will help offset those expenses and ensure that the household expenses are also met and that this amazing and giving family is able to have a holiday season that is as stress free as it can be given everything that 2020 has thrown at us so far.

Will, his wife Tina and their daughters Megan and Maci are the most giving selfless people I know and I hope that your donations help keep them moving forward and allow them to get back on their feet.
