For those of you who dont know, Russ had a stroke on Saturday August 27th. He spent 6 days in the ICU and 5 days in the rehabilitation center. He is continuing with outpatient speech therapy, physical therapy and occupational therapy, and is making progress. At present, he isn’t able to put all his thoughts into words because of the aphasia the stroke caused. He isn’t able to work at this time and it is unknown when he will return to his job.
I wanted to create this space to make it easier for his friends and anyone who wants to help, giving you the ability to help/contribute in a way that makes sense for you! I’m hoping this sparks an outlet that all of you can put your knowledge and means in one place. Anything will help, whether that is monetarily or programs you might know of that will offer guidance or your experience and advice… truly anything is greatly appreciated. Please join his family and me in rallying together for Russell! It is going to be a long road to recovery, but with the support of his friends and family he will get there.
