Russells Road to Recovery

Donation protected
The day we all dread and hope never happens but without hesitation does not hold him back from doing what he was born to do. On April 14th, 2018 Our not only good friend, brother, and Hell’s Angel, Russell Lewis was in a life changing motorcycle accident because of everyday dangers riding a motorcycle. In a matter of seconds Russell was ejected from his bike several feet in the air and forcefully hit the concrete directly on his head, changing his life forever. Unfortunately, that was not the only nightmare Russell had to face, seconds after hitting the ground he was ran over by a car making his already nightmare situation, a day from hell.

Russell broke his jaw in 5 different places, shattered his nose, broke cheek bones, suffered from severe road rash on several parts of his body, and went into a coma for 6 weeks because of a traumatic brain injury. After the injuries from the accident Russell continued to be faced with unbearable pain from infections that built up on his wounds. A accident that happened in seconds caused months if not years of pain to come for Russell.

Russell is fighting with everything he has to get back to the life he had. Russell is working with physical therapist, speech therapist, a rehabilitation center where they are focusing on his muscle atrophy and regaining strength so that he can walk and function normally. Russell has a long road ahead of him but nothing that he cannot do, he’s a Hell’s Angel.

Russell in no way deserved any ounce of the adversity he is facing but with his determined perseverance, love, and support from everyone he can hopefully live a normal life again. Russell’s recovery is going to be long and could be year’s, what he needs the most is to be able to focus on regaining strength and not how he is going to pay all the bills. As you can only imagine the bills and cost of an accident of this degree would pile up.

Russell, our brother and friend for almost 40 years, has had a catastrophic accident. Over the years Russell came to the aid of his loved ones dozens of times. Now it is our turn. He can no longer care for himself, he needs the biker community to stand up and repay him for his unselfish commitment to our lifestyle. Open your hearts, open your wallets. Make Russells life as best as we can. It is a commitment to lifestyle, brotherhood, and the people we are. Let’s show the world we are the people they wish they were.
