I am setting up this fundraiser for my brother-in-law Russell Pierce who has been in the hospital since March 27th. He was in the hospital in Bozeman, then they flew him by helicopter to Billings on March 31st. He was diagnosed with Stage 2 Thymoma (cancer of the thymus gland) and had surgery to remove the thymus gland and repair his paricardium on April 3rd. After the surgery, he started to get weaker and they diagnosed him with Myasthenia gravis. He is now in crisis mode and unable to breathe or eat on his own. He is still in the hospital and will likely be there for a while longer as he continues treatments before moving to a rehabilitation center. His wife Tami is there with him every day so neither of them has been able to work for a month.
