End Russell's Achilles Agony!
Donation protected
This is Russell, a Snowboarder, former Decathlete and passionate Sportsman. In July 2014 he suffered an Achilles Rupture, although not an uncommon injury he has battled for 2 years and is only just taking his first tentative steps.

In a tragic turn of events this athletic young man has torn his Achilles tendon 3 times, he has had 9 surgeries, 2 transplants, been a victim of Necrosis (Tissue Death) and had countless hospital stays and visits.
These 4 pictures show the original tendon damage, the result from the first surgery, the dead transplanted tendon and finally the complete removal of the Achilles to rid the leg of dying tissue.
He has another new Achilles that is looking good so far, long may it continue!

He is now looking at a very long road to recovery and needs YOUR HELP to cover the costs of Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy treatments. 2 years is an incredibly long time for muscles to be left unused! Most of this time he was at home without an income.

With the right treatment it is still possible for him to ride snowboard and continue with his chosen career, teaching and spreading his passion for sport. He will never be able to take part in a great number of sports but giving up is not an option.

Please find it in your heart to DONATE to his recovery. The world needs more people like him, ENERGETIC, CHARISMATIC and INSPIRING.
NEVER GIVE UP, THE IMPOSSIBLE JUST HASN'T BEEN DONE! YET!
To find out more you can check out his blog. The Achilles Chronicles! An insight into how, why, when and where this all happened.
