Russell Brydson, Farmer of Narrow Way Farm

Hello everyone,

I am Aubrey, Manager of Virginia Highlands Farmers Market (VHFM) a Community Farmers Market (CFM) market.

Russell has been the staple farmer at VHFM since its opening 3 years ago. You may also know him from Grant Park Farmers Market, held on Sundays.

Russell was unfortunately in a motor vehicle accident. He is okay but has a fractured sternum which will make farm work more challenging. His work van is no longer driveable. CFM is assisting in setting up this method to help raise funds for Russell's expenses due to this unfortunate car accident. We are also planning to support him by sending a crew out to help plant crops, so he can continue to feed our community.

Narrow Way Farm is located in McDonough, GA. Russell has been farming on his current property for 6 years with 7 acres in crop production. His crops are Certified Naturally Grown. Russell has spent a total of 8 years farming -- a portion of this time was in the Dominican Republic.

Update as of 5/22/2023:

Rusell is feeling better but is still healing. He has been coming to both Grant Park Farmers Market and Virginia Highland Farmers Market every week. He still needs help lifting heavy items but continues to do better day by day. He is in good spirits and cracking jokes again at the markets!

We plan to close this fundraiser down by June 1st. Please provide any contributions you have been wanting to add by this date.
