A little about Russell Wallace:

Russell Wallace is a man that needs little introduction in south central Kentucky. He has been in the medical field as an x-ray technician for over 30 years. Theres a good chance if you have had an x-ray, ct scan or MRI in this part of the state that he did it. He is veteran of the United States Army, a member of the cavalry scouts. He has served as a youth coach, a youth church leader and I am pretty sure he was the man in which they coined the phrase, "would give you the shirt of his back" for. He is faithful volunteer and a devoted servant to his community. He is a husband, a father, and a true man of God. He and his wife Shawna are the god parents to my son. Most of all, he is my friend.

Hello friends. This fundraiser is for the best man I have ever known, Russell Wallace and his wife Shawna. Russell has been diagnosed with glaucoma. This disease has already taken nearly all the vision in his right eye to the point of it being useless while attacking his left eye also. Through a recent surgery, doctors have been hopeful to spare his left eye the same damage. These medical procedures have left him unable to work for the past month with more recovery time still to come in the future. Along with this comes the medical bills, medications, co-pays and the like. Not to mention the stresses of paying regular bills when you are physically unable to work. I also want to mention that no member of their family asked me to do this. They expressely asked us not to, but Russell and Shawna have always been the first to step up when someone is in need. My wife and I have felt very led to help out in any way we can and hopefully you will be to. 100 percent of donations will go directly to the Wallace's.
