Russ Reid Memorial Scholarship

Russ Reid always knew he was destined to teach. He started and ended his calling in the Rockville Centre School District, where he taught English, coached championship basketball and golf teams, and produced South Side High School's theatrical productions. Over the course of his nearly 50 years in education, Russ impacted the lives of more than 10,000 young people. He loved every minute he shared with them, whether in the classroom, the arenas of athletic competition, the auditorium stage, or the labyrinth of the London underground during his famous “London Theater” field trips.

You can honor Russ's memory by contributing to the Russ Reid Memorial Scholarship Fund which will be used to award scholarships for students at South Side High School.
