I got a call last night from good friend and long time fellow white hat Russ Hansen. Apparently, he was preparing dinner and preheating the oven when Russ heard a pop from the other room and came back into the kitchen to find the oven in flames. Despite best efforts to put it out, priority was to immediately get the kids out of the house and call for help. Within approximately 5 minutes the place was up in flames and the Hansen family lost all of their personal belongings. Thankfully, everyone got out safely and no one was hurt. When I spoke to Russ on the phone, he is rarely at a loss for words but he and his family are devastated. I thought since we are all such giving people, I would throw this out there just days before Christmas to see if we could help Russ and his family out and raise some money for them to get them back on their feet.  As we all know, collecting from insurance can take months and never fully covers what has been lost or damaged. Anything you can help with I'm sure will be much appreciated by Russ his wife Iliana and two boys Christopher and Mateo. Since this just happened last night, I was going to try to get as much together as soon as I could to help them out now. I'm sure you are as shocked reading this as I was to get a phone call from Russ late last night. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!
