Russ Gordon Boring of Walled Lake was born October 27, 1970 in Fort Belvior, Virginia to Gordon Kimball and Margaret Joyce (nee: Warren) Boring. He died September 14, 2018 at the age of 47.
Russ is survived by his daughters Mia and Valentyna, his parents Gordie and Margaret, his sister Kerri (Brad Armstrong) Boring, his grandmother Joyce Johnson, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members.
Russ was a 1988 graduate of Walled Lake Western High School and went on to Western Michigan University where he graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Growing up, Russ worked in the family business, Creative Machine Company in Wixom and upon graduation from WMU Russ continued working there, eventually earning the title of Engineering Manager. He worked very hard at the family business and we are all very proud of him.
In addition to being dedicated to his career, he was proud to be a father. Being a dad brought him more joy than he ever imagined. He also enjoyed snow skiing, boating, fishing, water skiing, kayaking, hockey, and spending time with his girls, family and lifelong friends.
Russ was a wonderful son, big brother and a fun loving father and friend. Our beloved Russ will be deeply missed by all.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to contribute to a college fund in his honor.
Funeral from Lynch & Sons Funeral Home 340 N. Pontiac Trail, Walled Lake (3 Blks. S. of Maple Rd.) Friday 11 AM. Friends may visit Thursday 2:30-8 PM.
