Russ and Julia Hurricane Ian Recovery

I am Courtney Glocke and I live in Oklahoma. My mother, Julia and stepfather Russ live in Cape Coral, Florida. The exact spot where on Sept. 28, 2022, the monster category 4 hurricane made landfall.

They rode the terrifying event out and emerged safe and unharmed. We are SO thankful!!! Their house suffered severe roof and structural damage, and they are still without power. Now the harsh reality of the life-changing destruction caused by Ian is setting in.

Please pray for their resilience as their livelihood relies on tourism and their beautiful surroundings. Russ is a licensed Captain and Fishing Guide, and Julia a Certified Professional Coder. They are without power and running water and will likely be for weeks to possibly months; however, they have a generator powering a refrigerator with food and a propane grill, for which they are very grateful. But Julia's employment is dependent on power and internet access - and Russ' requires access to the ports, beaches, and marinas which have all been destroyed by Ian. The road ahead is going to be difficult.

There is still extensive flooding on the highways in and out of Cape Coral. Therefore, the postal service is not running. But if you wish to donate to Mom and Russ through by this method, anything is greatly appreciated.

Mom and Russ wished that I pass along their sincere gratitude and love to their family and friends. They continue to request prayers from us all during this time of rebuilding and restoration.
