Ruskin Apartment Fire
Donation protected
On December 1st, the Ruskin Place Apartments in Lincoln caught fire, and the entire building has been condemned, displacing 22 apartments and their residents indefinitely. Unfortunately, my brother, his wife, their two young boys and their two dogs were included. In the days following the fire, there has been extremely minimal support from Ruskin Place and Timberland Partners offered to the families who are left finding a new place to live, and they are now required to move whatever they can salvage from the building as soon as possible.
They are currently navigating the situation by staying in a motel, but trying to cover those costs and come up with the funds for a deposit, rent, storage/moving and transportation has been a huge burden. Anything at all would help relieve some of the stress during this time leading into the holidays!
