At Rusigama Junior School in rural Sri Lanka, more than 200 students arrive each day full of potential.

Yet many face challenges beyond the classroom. Limited access to technology, English literacy barriers, a lack of exposure to professional role models, and few pathways beyond secondary education can restrict opportunities long before talent has a chance to shine.

The Swivel Foundation was established to change that.

Our vision is simple: "To transform rural education in Sri Lanka by creating a replicable model of excellence where geography never limits potential."

Through the Rusigama Catalyst Project, we are creating a long-term learning ecosystem built around four interconnected pillars:

Technology Hub

A modern IT lab providing students with access to digital skills, coding, and technology education.

Smart Library & Learning Centre

A dedicated space to strengthen reading habits, English literacy, and access to educational resources.

Mentorship & Scholarships

Connecting students with professionals, career guidance, coding clubs, English conversation programs, and scholarship opportunities.

School Environment Transformation

Upgraded classrooms, learning spaces, and facilities designed to inspire every student who walks through the gates.

This is not a one-time donation project.

Unlike traditional CSR initiatives that end when equipment is delivered, our model includes ongoing maintenance, mentorship, volunteer engagement, teacher support, and measurable impact reporting to ensure every investment continues creating value for years to come.
