Rushmoor binmen fancy dress week
With the recent out break of corona virus I think we all finally appreciate what an amazing institution we have in our NHS.
These people are genuine hero’s. They train hard to spend there lives caring for others. They are often underpaid, understaffed and under appreciated. But they do the most amazing job there is. At some point in our life we will either rely on or know somebody who rely’s on the NHS.
I personally don’t know where I would be with out the help of the NHS and there amazing mental health team and support services that again are stretched so thin but try so hard to provide the help and care needed.
And at this time they are really are showing how truly amazing they are, risking not only their safety but the safety of their families, to try and ensure the safety of everyone else.
Think of all of the time, the smiles and the dignity this truly wonderful organisation full of wonderful hard working people has given back to others..........
So the bin men of Rushmoor would like to spend a little of there time, giving up some of our dignity, to try and spread some smiles.
And hopefully while doing so we can raise some money for and show our appreciation to the wonderful NHS
We will be coming into work for the week starting the 4th of May in fancy dress. We still have to wear uniform, but we can adapt them with the likes of wigs, hats, tops, tutu’s, leg warmers, head bands etc. I personally have a lovely tutu or Minnie Mouse dress to choose from
We will do this for a week so that all the residents of Farnborough and Aldershot have a good chance to come out and have a good laugh at our expense....... but please let it be at your expense as well
Get behind us, have a laugh at us but most importantly please please please support us and give what ever you can
When the NHS and all it’s staff are doing so much for everyone else, surely we can all do a little for them?
