Rushmer Family Fire Relief

On August 28th, 2020 at approximately 7:16 a.m., the West Bend Fire Department was dispatched to the Rushmer residence for a structure fire. A neighbor called in reporting flames and smoke on the roof after seeing the home struck by lightning. Truck 2, Engine 1, and Battalion 1 responded. A working still was called on MABAS box 15-1-1. Med 31, Truck 1, and a fire engine and a chief from the Jackson Fire Department responded. The fire was suppressed by firefighters on scene.

The family was asleep, however they were all able to evacuate safely. Ani is a single Mother to three wonderful sons, Jack, JJ and Jordan. An amazing daughter, friend, neighbor, and so much more. She is the type of person that would give you the shirt off of her back and her very last dime. Ani is always a helper or fixer, and she is not one to ask for help, so we told her it's time to let others help. 

We are raising funds to help Ani and her children cover the costs for her insurance deductible, and the various unexpected expenses related to the fire.

Victims of fires face tremendous emotional stress and financial costs, and we hope to alleviate some of the stress they will face as they begin to rebuild.
