Health Clinics in Rural Haiti

Tax deductible
Critical funds needed for basic prescription medicines

Haitians have little access to healthcare.  Our non-profit, Konbit Lasante Pou Limonad, works in local partnerships to help address this need in Limonade, Haiti.

In rural areas, where poverty is deepest, there is no healthcare.  There is no access to sanitation, safe water, decent housing or adequate nutrition.

This is why we are supporting an initiative which takes local clinic doctors and health workers out into small rural communities.

We establish "pop-up" clinics in existing buildings- schools, chapels, wherever space is available.

Two rural clinic events are supported by our organization each year-in February and in September.   Each clinic customizes it's medical focus, based on the current needs of the community at that time.   Patients are identified and pre-registered by community field workers (called ajan sante) in advance of the clinics.  We ourselves travel from Indiana to participate as needed, carrying basic non-prescription donations to save funds.

This photo depicts a typical registration prior to the rural clinic event.  Almost 200 children were seen by physicians during this February 2018 pediatric clinic.

The clinic event in February, 2018 specialized in pediatric care.  These children are waiting to see a doctor for the very first time.

These clinics not only provide accessible health care to those effected by chronic poverty, they also establish trust in health care workers and the practices of western medicine.

Parents are waiting in line to receive medications for their children.

Here is where we need YOU:  Basic prescription medications are available in Cap Haitien, the nearest big town.

We urgently need funds to buy simple meds:   Buying local is much easier, cheaper, and also benefits the local economy.

Won't you pitch in?  The next clinics will be in early September, so we need funds soon to get organized.  Every contribution helps!

Join our Konbit Crew!  Please donate now to fund medications for these clinics.
