Rupert's Seizure Tests
Rupert was found tied up in Jalisco, Mexico attached to wall with 16 other dogs in terrible conditions. He was brought to Puebla and then to Canada.
I saw him and I knew. At the time I was taking care of another rescue dog but I emailed anyway. I was told he couldn’t wait that long, so I didn't apply. 2 months later they posted that his adoption trial failed and he was returned. This time I was done boarding so I poured my lil heart out and he came home with me.

He seems to already know this is his forever home. We've been in training classes, wake up every morning and have zoomies, go on trail hikes, cuddles galore, everything to make him forget about being tied up.
3 weeks later (yesterday) Rupert was asleep and started acting strange. I noticed his tail was tucked and he began to twitch and reach for me. He had a grand mal seizure of more than 30 mins.

The doctors said seizures for this long are very dangerous and usually result in brain damage. He likely has a brain tumour or just epilepsy but we need a scan to know. He's on advanced anti epileptic meds and I have to inject him if he has another one that's longer than 4 mins.
The first neurologist trip is being estimated at 4 thousand dollars. After his diagnosis it could be thousands for surgery or a life time of medication. I've only had him for 3 weeks so our insurance hasn't kicked in and I'm so scared. I want to provide him with the best life possible no matter what.
You sweet angels have all offered to help pitch in and while I find it incredibly uncomfy to ask for help, my perfect boy deserves the best.
Thank you so much, we love you.
