In early August our friend, brother, life partner, father and son, Paul Fisher left this life. As Paul tended to the family garden after work he suffered a massive heart attack. He was doing what he loved: taking care of his family and his home. His death was unexpected and a shock to all that knew him.
Paul was deeply dedicated to his partner Ruby and their three kids, Kaiulani, Julian and Kalea. They will face emotional and financial challenges as they move forward in life without Paul.
This gofundme campaign was established to support his children's education and offset his absence as the sole provider of his family.
Paul was 46 years young, born October 10, 1972 in San Antonio, Texas to David and Lynda (†) Fisher.
Paul was the center of life for more than just his family. He offered love and light to all he knew. In each phase of his life he met extraordinary people and brought joy, passion and friendship to them.
Paul was part of a wide and meaningful community in the Pioneer Valley of Massachusetts. He served in local government, owned and ran a business and contributed to the culture and spirit around him.
Nothing brought Paul more pleasure than seeing those he cared about laugh and be joyful. He insisted on his home being a gathering place for celebration, dance, music, food and love. He adopted the 'aloha spirit' from his partner Ruby's upbringing in Hawaii and shared it with all he came across.
As a father he glowed with pride in his children. He encouraged them to follow their passions, stoked their curiosity in new things, showered them with love and found small ways everyday to teach integrity, acceptance and compassion.
His absence leaves a hole in hearts of those who love him.
