Running for Madeline
We are raising funds to help the family of Madeline. She is the adorable 4 year old daughter of our dear friends and big sister to 2 year old Chloe. She loves princesses, the color pink, and anything that sparkles.
Madeline was diagnosed with Stage 3 kidney cancer, and within a few days underwent major surgery to remove her tumor. Only a handful of children annually are diagnosed with her specific medical condition, and her journey with radiation and chemotherpy has just begun. She will be unable to return to school for quite some time for fear of infection...her immune system will most likely be compromised from the chemo and infection will not be helpful on her road to healing.
She will need not only frequent, high cost medical treatment, but will require home care that is not covered by her family's insurance plan. The costs for her family could be staggering in 2013.
Don will be raising money for her by running several half marathons in 2013. The first one is scheduled for May in Danville, CA. Please help us help them, by donating any amount you can. Whether you want to donate a set amount per mile he runs, or a flat dollar amount, everything is appreciated.
