I am incredibly honored to have been selected to run the 2027 Tokyo Marathon in support of the National Bone Marrow Bank. To secure my charity entry, I made a $3,200 donation, and I'm asking for your help in reimbursing that contribution while supporting a cause that is deeply personal to me. My father battled Polycythemia Vera for decades before it progressed to leukemia. Watching his journey inspired me to support an organization that gives hope to patients and families facing these devastating blood disorders.
Running the Tokyo Marathon is not only a tribute to my dad, but also a milestone in my own journey toward the Abbott World Marathon Majors Six Star Medal. Tokyo will be my fifth major, and I hope to complete my sixth in London just six weeks later. Every mile I run will be in honor of my dad and everyone affected by bone marrow diseases. Your support will help me continue making a difference, both for the National Bone Marrow Bank and for all those who need hope and healing.
Thank you for supporting this journey. Every donation, no matter the size, helps me honor my father's memory and contribute to a cause that means so much to me. I am grateful for your kindness and encouragement as I take on this challenge.
