Hi, I’m Carita and I’m the captain and manager for Wellesbourne Wanderers Women’s FC. Our football team is the first women’s team for Wellesbourne and we have worked very hard to get through the past two seasons due to struggling with players.

We have always welcomed players of all abilities, striving to get as many women in the community involved in Football. The team started with only four players turning up to training to a full 15 players each week. We now are entering a third season and are thankful that we have managed to recruit some new players with the growth of women’s grassroots football. However, we do not have enough kit. The kits are expensive but without them we won’t be able to enter into the league again and we don’t want to discourage new players by asking them to pay for their own kit on top of signing on fees.

Therefore, on the 13th July I am taking on the Rasselbock Sherwood pines Marathon in order to raise funds to pay for this kit. I would be incredibly grateful for any funds that you can afford to pay in order to get the ladies playing for another season. Thank you so much!
