Mama Fletcher passed on to her next adventure last June. Her final few weeks were spent under the care of the most amazing and inspirational team at St Mary’s hospice, Birmingham. At the tender age of 37 I decided to tick off a bucket list entry and attempt to raise some well needed funds to assist that team in continuing their amazing work by running a marathon. After 31 weeks of arduous training I am finally ready to do this!! Running through the redwood forests of Northern California will truly be an incredible experience, but the main reason for doing this is to help those truly remarkable people that selflessly help others through the most difficult of times.
