Running the Yorkshire Three Peaks for DPDR Awareness

On 26th July this year, we’re taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge — 24 miles and over 5,000ft of ascent — to raise awareness and vital funds for UNREAL, a UK charity supporting people with Depersonalisation-Derealisation Disorder (DPDR).

This cause is deeply personal to us.

Ashley has suffered with derealisation disorder for 5 years, a terrifying and isolating mental health condition where the world can feel dreamlike, distant, or unreal. It’s incredibly hard to describe — and even harder to live with. Watching someone you love go through it leaves you feeling helpless. Ashley discovered how little awareness and support there is for people facing this condition, which affects up to 2% of the population — yet is so rarely talked about.

That’s why we chose to support UNREAL, the only UK charity specifically helping those with DPDR. They offer understanding, resources, peer support, and advocacy — and they desperately need more funding to continue and expand their work.

We’ll be pushing our physical and mental limits climbing Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough — in the best time we can — to help make the unreal feel a little more understood.

Please consider supporting us — whether it’s £1 or £50, every bit helps. And if you can’t donate, sharing this page means the world.

Let’s bring awareness to a condition too often overlooked, and show that no one has to face DPDR alone.

All family & friends are welcome to join us on this challenge and take it at their own pace (the more people the better).
Anyone suffering/suffered or knows somebody who has been through this condition are also welcome to join, drop us a message!

Thank you ❤️
