Running ‘The Wall’ for Heel & Toe
Donation protected
On the 14th June 2025, we’ll be taking on one of the UK’s most iconic endurance challenges – the Rat Race “The Wall” Ultramarathon – to raise vital funds for the Heel & Toe Children’s Charity, a cause incredibly close to our hearts.
What is “The Wall”?
This 70-mile ultramarathon follows the historic route of Hadrian’s Wall, stretching from Carlisle to Newcastle. It’s a grueling single-day challenge that tests every ounce of stamina, resilience, and determination. Runners will face over 3,000 feet of elevation, rugged terrain, and hours on their feet – all for an incredible cause.
Why Heel & Toe?
Heel & Toe is a lifeline for children with physical and neurological disabilities. For years, Jake and Freddie have both benefited immensely from their services – particularly hydrotherapy, conductive education, and physiotherapy. The dedicated team has supported their development, mobility, and confidence in ways that are truly transformative.
But running these services isn’t easy. It costs over £1,000 per week just to keep the hydrotherapy pool operational – a critical component of therapy for children like Jake and Freddie. Every session, every splash, every step forward in recovery is made possible by generous donations.
How You Can Help:
By sponsoring our run, you’re helping to:
Keep the hydrotherapy pool running and accessible
Fund expert-led conductive education programs
Support the dedicated physiotherapy team
Provide ongoing therapy to children and families who rely on this essential charity
Thank You:
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donates – no matter how big or small – and an enormous shout-out to all the incredible individuals joining us in running The Wall this June. Your generosity and grit are making a real, lasting difference.
Let’s do something amazing for Heel & Toe, for Jake and Freddie, and for every child who deserves the very best start in life.
