Running the Southampton half for Solent Mind
Everybody that I’m close to knows about me getting sick in 2023 and the mind charity carries out research into psychosis which I think is very important as so many people in main stream healthcare dont seem to have much knowledge on it yet. Not only for psychosis but for all the people that are struggling in the dark and just need a little help to see a glimmer of light again.
I have posted a lot about it not to get a wave of empathy from others (which I always am so appreciative of) but to help show that, even to one person, that feeling scared, lost or broken, doesn’t mean it will be like this forever and to keep pushing through.i used to hate this saying as I just wanted to be better right now, but YOU WILL GET THERE. Saying that, recovery isn’t all beautiful and forever healing- it’s a bumpy process but u will soon be able to withstand the bumps and come out one trillion times stronger with a new sense of self acting as a protective shield.
i am running the Southampton half marathon in April which I have done a few times before (I haven’t done it since before I was sick actually!) but I’d love for my run to have a purpose and contribute to a cause I’m ever so passionate about. Even if you are not in a position to donate, thank you so much for your time reading my mini essay,
lots of love and my messages are always open to anyone ❤️
