Running the Marathon des Sables

Michael is taking on the Marathon des Sables, the 'toughest footrace on earth' on 2 October 2021 in memory of Michael's wife Sue, who sadly died from cancer in January this year. They are raising money in aid of STOUR HEALTH AND WELLBEING PARTNERSHIP and CANCER RESEARCH UK and every donation will help. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Ed-on_4t4I

The Marathon des Sables is a gruelling six-day multi marathon adventure in one of the world’s most inhospitable climates - the Sahara desert. The rules require runners to be self-sufficient, carrying everything (except water) needed to survive the week and sleeping rough in camp at night.
Michaels race number is 520, it is possible to track competitors and see them finishing stages on the web cams : marathondessables.com. The link will go live before the race start on 03/09/21.
ANY  donation no matter how small is more than welcome.

Dr Sue Pritchard was a talented and immensely popular GP based at Shipston Medical Centre, Warwickshire. Sue was known by colleagues and patients alike as being incredibly kind and caring, always putting others before herself. She played a leading role in supporting the Stour Health and Wellbeing Partnership charity which sought to improve the health and wellbeing of all residents in the Stour area. Sadly Sue was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer in October 2020 and passed away in January 2021.

Thank you for your support.
