Running the Manchester marathon for Heathland animal charity
Ollie and I will be running the Manchester marathon at the end of April in support of Heathlands animal charity. We both love animals, especially dogs and both have pets at home.
As some of you know Heathlands is a charity close to my family. My parents have fostered abandoned dogs and puppies for Heathlands for about 8 years and adopted 2 of their dogs ourselves (Sheera and Ris). Heathlands rescue animals from pounds across Europe and bring them to England to find their forever home. Along the way Heathlands have to pay for passports, transport, vet’s bills and food for all of the dogs they rescue. This money we raise will be contributing to all of these costs and allowing Heathlands to continue doing the amazing work they do.
Ollie has done one marathon already and will be doing the Brighton marathon 3 weeks before he runs the Manchester one with me. This will be my first marathon so I’m very excited. We can’t wait for marathon day and we hope you can support us by donating whatever you can.
