Running the London Marathon in memory of my mum
I am running the London Marathon on the 3rd October 2021 to raise money for a charity that helped us when my mum Diane passed away suddenly in 2019. The Dandelion fund based within Basildon hospital work with bereaved families in providing support and advice to families when they need it most.
I had never heard of the Dandelion fund until they provided my family with guidance and support back in February 2019. The charity gave us sentimental keepsakes that I am so grateful I can keep forever. The dandelion charity relies totally on donations and receives no government funding, which is even more of a reason that I would like to raise money for them.
Donations to this charity help them to continue to provide support and give other families sentimental keep sakes.
I have completed the Brentwood Half marathon as part of my training for the London marathon and hope that completing the marathon in memory of my mum will also help raise this lovely charity some more funds to be able to continue supporting families.
The dandelion fund help families affected by bereavement. I'm raising money in aid of BASILDON AND THURROCK UNIVERSITY HOSPITALS CHARITABLE TRUST and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
