I have loved my friend, Paula Hartz, RN, for thirty years. I worked with both she and her husband at Washington Regional Medical Center. By far, our best adventure together was carpooling our kindergarteners to school. The stories her oldest daughter could tell still have me laughing! I'm not sure there was ever a more kind, compassionate or sincere person born. 

About 18 months ago she changed jobs after twenty plus years as a hospice director. She designed and built our local Hospice Home. About 15 months ago, she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, had a whipple procedure done at MD Anderson, then chemo and radiation. Sadly, Paula has just been moved to the same Hospice Home she built and ran, but as a patient this time.

As you can imagine, she, her husband, Jim,  her daughters, son in laws, mother and entire family have incurred major expenses that have not been covered by insurance. Especially, since she was diagnosed so soon after starting her new position.

I am starting this Go Fund Me account to help this incredible family. I'm also asking for prayers for her time at Hospice to be as painless as possible. Thank you for helping.
