Hi, we’re Ben Williams and Alex Nolan, and next week we’re taking on the Goggins 4x4x48 Challenge - running 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours straight. That’s 12 runs, 48 miles, in just two days.

But this challenge isn’t about us. It’s about raising awareness and funds for two causes that mean the world to us:

❤️ Shannon’s Hopeline – a teen mental health charity. For me (Ben), this is deeply personal. Last year, I lost my close friend Nathan Brady to suicide. It changed my life forever and showed me just how important it is to break the stigma around young people’s mental health. I’m running for Nathan, and for every teenager who feels like they’re fighting in silence.

The Irish Cancer Society – supporting people and families affected by cancer. For Alex, this cause is equally personal. His mam was diagnosed with cancer — and she fought hard and beat it. That fight inspired him, and now he’s running for everyone still going through the same battle today, and for the families who need hope and support along the way.

The funds raised will go directly to these two charities to continue their incredible work:

Shannon’s Hopeline provides life-saving mental health services, resources, and support for young people.

The Irish Cancer Society funds vital cancer research, care, and assistance for patients and families across Ireland.

This challenge is about pushing our minds and bodies to the limit, but more importantly, it’s about giving back. Every donation, no matter how big or small, makes a real difference.
