Hey y’all My name’s Taye, and I’ve been training for the Honolulu Marathon—a dream that represents healing, growth, and faith. This trip also lines up with my birthday, so it’s not just a race, it’s a celebration of life and perseverance.
Growing up, I wasn’t able to run for a long time because of what I used to call “leg problems.” Later, I learned that my legs weren’t receiving signals from my brain—I didn’t have any functioning nerves in them. So being able to run now is nothing short of a blessing. Every mile I run reminds me of how far I’ve come and how faithful God has been.
It hasn’t been an easy journey. I’ve been pushing through a lot behind the scenes—mentally, physically, and financially—especially with work challenges and maintaining my health. But running has been my therapy, my prayer, and my reminder that I can keep going, no matter what life throws my way.
This trip is something I promised myself after years of fighting for my peace and rebuilding my confidence. Any support, big or small, will go toward making this milestone possible—covering flight costs, lodging, and race fees.
If you can’t donate, sharing means just as much Thank you for believing in me and helping me cross this next finish line—both in Hawaii and in life. ♀️✨
