In mid-October, I am running my first marathon in Acadia National Park. It has always been a goal of mine to run a marathon, in large part because my Dad was a runner. He loved running and completed several marathons when I was a kid. We had running in common, and as my Dad became physically disabled with ALS, I kept running for the both of us. I hoped Dad would be able to see me run my first marathon, but... Covid delayed this race a few years, and we lost Dad in the summer of 2021.
So, I am running for my Dad. I hope to raise a little money to benefit Compassionate Care ALS, Inc., an organization that supported my family during our decade-long journey with ALS. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause, which means so much to me.
Dad, I'll be jamming to musicals the whole way. This one is for you.
