Hi, my name is Katie. This run is in memory of my friend Grace.

I’ll be running the Manchester Marathon to raise money for Mind Manchester, a charity that supports people with their mental health across our local communities.

Mental health affects so many of us — whether personally or through the people we love — and too often it still isn’t spoken about enough. Grace was funny, full of life, and someone who brought so much light and laughter into the lives of everyone around her. I want this fundraiser to reflect her, while also helping to raise awareness, understanding, and support around mental health.

Every donation will go directly to Mind Manchester to help fund vital services, including mental health advice, support, and community programmes that help people feel heard and supported when they need it most.

This one’s for you, Grace — and for anyone else who might be feeling alone right now. You’re not on your own, and you never have to face things by yourself.
