Those of you who know me, know that running is not my sport. I wanted to set myself a challenge and I felt no better way to do this than to sign up to run Reading Half Marathon March 2026.

I won’t be running alone. I’ll be running with a close friend Jamie, every step of the way, in my heart. I trust that he will get me to the finish line safely, with a beer waiting for me at the other side.

Unfortunately, we lost Jamie in October 2025 aged 27. A loved son, grandson, brother, friend and father of two beautiful children. I’m running in memory of Jamie and raising money for his children and every penny will be going to them.

Jamie, I hope I make you proud. We miss you so so much. I know the swamp dogs and swamp pups would do anything to hear your laugh and see your smile again.
