Running for Yon

Donation protected
Captain Brian Yon passed away on October 19, 2022, leaving behind his wife Carrie and two children. Members of Mooresville Fire-Rescue and the Town of Mooresville stepped up to help the family during that tough time, but we believe there is still more to do. Twelve members from Mooresville Fire-Rescue and Mooresville Police Department have accepted the challenge to complete the Palmetto 200 relay race to raise money for the Yon family. The event will begin on March 24th in Columbia, South Carolina and end on the 25th in Charleston, South Carolina. It is a continuous run that has several legs each member will have to complete to finish the race. These twelve members are sacrificing their time and bodies to run this 200-mile relay race. We knew that asking for donations alone would not be enough, therefore, we intend on earning every dollar donated to the Yon family! Updates will be given on this fundraiser page as well as our Facebook Event page "Running for Yon". We hope you can see our vision and willingness to earn every dollar donated to the Yon family. Thank you in advance for any donations you give to the Yon family, and stay tuned for updates on our training to prepare our bodies and minds for this 200-mile relay race.
