I am running the Robin Hood Half Marathon for the National Justice Museum Access Fund!
On Sunday 27th September, I'll be taking on the Robin Hood Half Marathon to raise money for something that's incredibly close to my heart: the National Justice Museum Access Fund.
As many of you know, I work at the National Justice Museum, where every day I see the difference that immersive learning experiences can make to young people. We welcome thousands of children each year, giving them the opportunity to step inside real courtrooms, explore the history of justice, and learn about their rights, responsibilities and future careers.
Sadly, not every school can afford to visit.
The Access Fund helps remove financial barriers by subsidising the cost of visits for schools serving disadvantaged communities. Last year alone, around 8,000 children and young people were able to take part because of this support. Without it, many schools simply wouldn't be able to come.
Every child deserves the chance to experience inspiring, hands on learning, regardless of their family's financial circumstances. These visits build confidence, encourage critical thinking, spark conversations about fairness and justice, and can even inspire future careers in law, public service and beyond.
That's why I've decided to lace up my running shoes and tackle 13.1 miles!
If you're able to support me, every donation will help more children access these unforgettable educational experiences.
To give you an idea of the impact:
-£73 could help subsidise a class visit for around 30 young people.
-£750 could help support 10 class visits, reaching 300 children
-£1,500 could help fund 20 class visits, giving 600 young people the opportunity to visit.
Training for a half marathon is a challenge, but knowing it's helping to give more children access to opportunities they might otherwise miss makes every mile worthwhile.
Thank you so much for your support, encouragement and generosity. It really will make a difference.
