Running for the kids 3rd Edition
This coming Saturday (August 2), I’ll be running for a cause close to my heart. I’ll be running 100km for the amazing kids supported by KidSport Canada.
Growing up, I was lucky enough to have parents who gave me the opportunity to practice any sport I wanted. I always took this for granted. Now that I am older, I realize how fortunate I was. Regular physical activity improves overall health, motor skills and bone development. It also promotes discipline, teamwork and self-esteem and teach important life skills such as perseverance, sportsmanship, and goal setting. Not every family can afford the cost of organized sports and that’s why I want to help to make sure more kids get the chance to experience the same benefits that sport has given me.
Two years ago, we raised $2400 by doing the 50K run/50k row.
Last year, we raised $4565 by running seven marathons in seven days.
I am hopeful we can make it to $3000 this year. That would help to fund around 8-10 kids.
This year will be special since I will be running at RCMP Depot in Regina, Saskatchewan.
Let’s goooooo and from the bottom of my heart, thank you !!
