Running for the ICU Heroes – Barcelona Half Marathon
***DONE****
Hey everyone,
I’m running the Barcelona Half Marathon for the Mater Foundation—and I need your support!
Late last year my dad went in for what was supposed to be a routine(ish) heart operation. What followed was anything but routine. He ended up in a medical coma for three weeks, battling complications that no one saw coming. One of the biggest setbacks was a serious clot, which ultimately led to the removal of 2/3 of his right lung.
It was a terrifying time, but one thing was clear—without the incredible team in the ICU he wouldn’t be here today. Their care, skill, and relentless efforts quite literally saved his life.
So, to say thanks and to support the amazing work they do, I’m putting on my (very worn-out) running shoes and taking on the Barcelona Half Marathon. If you can donate anything at all, it would mean the world to me—and even more to the patients and families who rely on the Mater’s life-saving care.
Every euro counts, and if you can’t donate, a share would be just as appreciated! Thanks a million
