Running for Strength: Team AFBS in NYC
$3,400 raised of $5K
I’m Lucas Ross, and I’m running the TCS New York City Marathon with Team AFBS to stand with the Nemaline Myopathy community. NM is a rare muscle disorder that affects breathing, swallowing, and mobility. I’m lacing up miles not just for the finish line, but for the families and individuals who face daily battles because of this disease.
A Foundation Building Strength is the only organization solely dedicated to finding effective treatments for NM. They are leading a historic $3.6 million research commitment to advance gene therapy and clinical trial readiness. Knowing that 100% of donations go directly to research makes every mile I run feel like a step closer to real progress and hope.
Running 26.2 miles is a challenge, but it mirrors the long journey toward better treatments for NM. I’m honored to be part of a team that is channeling determination into action and helping accelerate the science that could change lives. Your support powers that work and honors everyone impacted by this condition.
Please join me in supporting A Foundation Building Strength. Your gift will go straight to research and help turn endurance into breakthroughs. Donate today and be part of the race toward effective treatments.
