Last year I set out to run 4 marathons to raise awareness and money for Scleroderma (a rare autoimmune connective tissue disease) research. This is a disease that came into my life when I was diagnosed 4 years ago. Ever since then I have been on a question to bring awareness to the illness and to inspire people facing their own battles no matter what the reason.
In order to tell the story, I partnered with Project Scleroderma to film a documentary. Needless to say, COVID messed with our plans. This year I plan to finish what I started by running the Philadelphia Marathon in November. As part of the journey, I am once again raising money.
This time the money is going to go directly to one or more Scleroderma patients to give them the gift and power of fitness. Studies have shown that physical activity can improve the quality of life and symptoms for those suffering from chronic illness. NOW, I need YOUR help to raise funds that will be used to purchase personal training or a gym membership for a well-deserving patient(s) in need. Can you please find it in your heart and mind to give to others? Every little bit helps.
