Running for Sarah – VHI Mini Marathon Fundraiser
Donation protected
On June 1st, I’ll be running the VHI Women’s Mini Marathon alongside two of my incredible friends to raise awareness and funds for FND Ireland, a cause very close to my heart.
One of my closest friends Sarah lives with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), a rare and often misunderstood condition that affects the way the brain sends signals to the body. FND can cause a wide range of symptoms, such as seizures, tremors, and difficulty walking, often requiring full-time care and support from family. Every day is a challenge for those living with this condition, and it’s something most of us can’t even imagine.
Until recently, there was little to no support in Ireland for people living with FND. But in an amazing turn of events, FND Ireland has just been approved as an official charity and received funding for the first time, finally giving those affected a voice, a community, and hope for better care and understanding.
I’ll be running the mini marathon on June 1st for Sarah and for everyone fighting FND. Every donation, big or small, will go directly to supporting FND Ireland’s work to help create a future with more awareness, support, and resources for those who are affected by FND.
Thank you so much for your kindness and support!
