Cubs on the Run

Hello! Thank you so much to everyone who donated and contributed to our cause! Running 681 miles, fundraising $1,725, and spreading a positive message regarding mental illness throughout the month of May, we all truly impacted our communities and helped the Anxiety and Depression Association of America. With depression affecting 20 percent of adolescents by the time they become adults, and anxiety disorders harming 1 in 3 of all adolescents ages 13 to 18, it is so important that we continue to prioritize our well being and that of those around us. We encourage you to greet each day with a cheerful attitude and a smile! Stay safe, healthy, and happy!

Hello! We are high school student athletes looking to raise awareness regarding mental illness and support the Anxiety and Depression Association of America. As COVID-19 spreads, each community is not only being challenged to combat the virus physically but also mentally. We are optimistic that with your help, we can positively impact others during these hard times. We are members of Georgetown Visitation’s mental health awareness club, Visi Minds Matter, and as we are no longer able to meet in person, we thought what better way to help others than through our love of fitness and newly imposed free time.

Throughout the month of May, in honor of mental health awareness month, we will be running for a cause! Each member of our team has set a goal for the number of miles they wish to run and will work to achieve her goal by May 31st. “Track” us on our Instagram account, @visimindsmatter, and cheer us on as we attempt to go the extra mile!

Your support can make a difference. Given the unique circumstances we would be extremely grateful for your sharing our page or donating if you’re able.
