Running for Remote Learning
As pubs are shut and footy seasons are postponed, we thought it would be a good idea to make ourselves useful and contribute to a good cause. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Queensland education landscape has seen a rapid shift to online learning platforms which has left many students without resources at a major disadvantage. Townsville-based charity, LiteHaus International, is donating digital devices to high school students in need across North Queensland to help bridge this gap.
We are aiming to raise $5,000 to fund an entire round of LiteHaus International’s Remote Learning Program, which will see 50 students across North Queensland receive a digital device to ensure they continue learning throughout these difficult times. To achieve this, our mates have decided to spend the next month “Running for Remote Learning” and have committed to matching $1 for every kilometre we run until we meet our fundraiser target (external donations included).
We would love to receive your support!
