Running for Reading: A library for Nepal!
Donation protected
Hello Dear friends,
My name is Rosan Dahal. I am a Senior Teacher at Kimberley College in Brisbane, Australia and this year I’m taking on a challenge that’s close to my heart – I’m running a half marathon in Toowoomba, Australia, to raise funds to build a much-needed library for a remote school in Nepal.
In the heart of rural Nepal, there’s a small school filled with bright, eager students who dream big—but they face a major challenge. Their school has no library. No shelves filled with stories, no quiet corners to explore the world through books, and very few learning resources. For many of these children, access to books and educational materials could make the difference between a life of limited opportunity and one full of hope and potential.
That’s where you come in.
I’ve partnered with a local community in Nepal to help set up a library that will serve not just the students, but the wider village. Funds raised will go toward:
*Building and furnishing the library space
*Supplying books in both English and Nepali
*Providing essential school supplies
*Supporting local efforts to maintain and grow the library
I believe that education is the foundation of lasting change, and I’m running this half marathon not just as a personal goal—but to stand in solidarity with these students and give them the tools they deserve.
My goal is to raise $2500 through GoFundMe. Whether you can give $10, $15 or more, every contribution brings us one step closer to building this library. And if you can’t give, you can still help by sharing this campaign with your network.
Let’s turn miles into meaning, and steps into stories. Join me in empowering a new generation of readers, leaders, and dreamers.
Thank you so much for your support—from the bottom of my heart, and on behalf of the amazing children in Nepal.
With gratitude,
Rosan Dahal
