Donate to support girls' education!
On April 30th, 2017 I will be running the Big Sur International Marathon. I'm very excited and my legs are tired. In conjunction with needless running, I will be raising $2620 (Get it? $100 for every mile of the marathon. That's fun!) for Pathways Togo -- a non-profit working for women’s education and empowerment in Togo, West Africa. 100% of the funds raised will go toward intelligent and motivated Togolese girls. The money will be applied to scholarships, mentoring opportunities, leadership skills training, and small-scale community grants.
Why Pathways Togo?
From 2012-2014 I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Togo. One of my favorite experiences was the time I got to spend working with Pathways Togo.
Pathways scholars are some of the most wonderful young women I've ever met. They are all at the top of their class. They make incredible sacrifices every single day to pursue their education. And they're inspirations to their peers and their community.

Togo is one of the poorest nations in the world. As a result, educational opportunities for children, particularly young girls, are limited. Today, less than 30% of Togolese girls are enrolled in high school. Pathways is working to change that.
By providing scholarships, life skills training, mentoring opportunities, and small-scale community improvement grants, Pathways Togo offers a rare opportunity for Togolese women and girls to pursue their personal goals and dreams.

The scholars who are part of Pathways Togo are going to change Togo and then the world. Every dollar helps. Every time you share this page helps. Thanks for giving. Thanks for sharing. Thanks for reading.
Educate women. Empower the world.
Love,
Andy
