Running for NYC international students!

I'm running the Maybelline Women's Half-Marathon in New York City on Sunday, April 27, with a goal to raise $1,310—$100 for every mile—to support the CUNY School of Law’s vital work protecting international students and community members from unlawful detention and deportation.

Every dollar raised will go directly to two of CUNY Law’s powerhouse clinics: the Immigrant & Non-Citizen Rights Clinic and CLEAR (Creating Law Enforcement Accountability & Responsibility).

Why These Clinics Matter

Immigrant & Non-Citizen Rights Clinic: This clinic empowers a new generation of social justice lawyers to defend the rights of non-citizens and immigrants, challenging the harsh and unjust consequences of current immigration laws. Students and faculty provide holistic legal support—covering everything from citizenship and asylum to housing and public benefits—while advocating for systemic change and supporting some of the most marginalized and criminalized groups in our society.

CLEAR Clinic: CLEAR provides free legal representation, know-your-rights workshops, and support for community organizing—primarily serving Muslim, Arab, South Asian, and other communities in New York City who are disproportionately targeted by national security and counterterrorism policies. CLEAR’s work is defined by deep partnerships with community organizations and has helped hundreds of individuals navigate FBI interviews, law enforcement searches, and the complex consequences of national security practices.

Why Now?
The stakes for immigrant and non-citizen communities have never been higher. Without access to expert legal support, students and community members face the real threat of detention, deportation, and family separation. Your support will help ensure that CUNY Law’s clinics can continue to offer these life-changing services free of charge to those who need them most.

Please consider supporting my run and CUNY Law’s mission by donating and sharing this campaign. Together, we can help protect the rights and dignity of our neighbors and ensure that justice is accessible to all.

Thank you for your support and solidarity!
