Running for New Canaan's Bristow Bird Sanctuary
Tax deductible

As many of you know, every year I run to raise money for a charity of my choice. This year I'm running the Tahoe Trifecta October 18th - 20th to raise funds for the Bristow Bird Sanctuary and Wildwood Preserve here in New Canaan. This recently restored 17 acre preserve celebrated its centenary this year and is an absolute treasure being "home" to over 120 bird species each year. Bristow Park is thriving against a frightening decline in bird counts across the world.
Within the sanctuary, there is a Pollinator Pathway Garden dedicated to a very close friend of our family, Cam Hutchins, who died in 2021. The money I raise will go to the upkeep and future development of Cam's pollinator garden via the New Canaan Land Trust. I am also extremely grateful to Robin Bates- Mason, President of Planet New Canaan, for all her support of both Bristow and my fund raising effort.
The Tahoe Trifecta consists of 3 unique half marathons over 3 consecutive days - The Navada Half, The Carnelian Bay Half and the Emerald Bay Half Marathon. Apparently, they are mostly downhill courses and beautiful runs. They are all, most definitely, at least 6225 feet above sea level. I'm not planning on any fast times! Information on the runs can be found at www.laketahoemarathon.com . I have also attached a link to the Bristow Park website.
If you are able to support my fund-raising efforts, all donations will be gratefully received.
